Yes, there is preparation involved. Psychics need a supportive, calm environment in which to work. You need to be relaxed and open to the process.

But, before you even get there, write out a list of your questions. The reading process itself not only distorts time but you will become disorientated. Everyone forgets what they came for. That is why you need the list of questions!

If you arrive or call when you are emotionally upset, hysterical or angry, the emotion you are projecting may over ride anything the psychic can receive. Psychics work on the emotional level. You can not hear someone whispering if the person next to you is screaming. The same is true of psychics.

Respect the psychic. Badgering someone will not get you anywhere. Trying to get a psychic to give you the answer you want to hear is really kind of silly. It's cheaper to just tell yourself what you want to hear. In my case, it may get you Pixied and that produces an itchy rash. It is equally silly to consult a large number of psychics trying to get the answer you want. Save your money: talk to yourself.

Respect the information you receive. Keep in mind that if spirit keeps giving you answers and you keep ignoring the suggestions, they may stop giving you answers. Also remember that sometimes it is the interpretation of the information that is faulty. I once had a clairvoyant tell me she saw doors opening in front of me. I felt certain opportunities were going to abound. The next day as I let my dog out for the umpteenth time, I realized what she had seen and it wasn't opportunity knocking if was a bladder infection. Record or write down your reading for
future reference. Keep in mind psychics ruin watches and tape recorders, so bring your own and don't let them touch it. I have a closet full of dead tape recorders! Listen to your tape carefully. Sometimes, you will pick up spirit messages!

Keep in mind that if you keep ignoring what the spirits are trying to tell you, they will either go to extremes to get your attention or just stop talking to you. Usually it is the latter.

Above all else, plan on having a good time. If it isn't fun, don't do it.

Under no circumstances should you have to pay for the time the psychic uses to prepare for your reading. If the psychic suggests bathing before a reading, please do. This person is suggesting you eliminate all other influences from your aura before they try to read you. Don't bring other people or have them listening in on the extension unless you want a reading combining the information from both of you or have permission from the psychic. Most psychics will refuse to read more than one person at a time for very good reasons.

Everyone has a bad day. If your psychic suggests you postpone to another day, unless you want a really substandard reading, you should follow that advice.
